Snowshoeing and winter walks
Seven waymarked snowshoe itineraries total 62 km around the village, including the GTJ link to Bois-d’Amont (10.9 km) through the Risoux forest. Two multi-activity itineraries (11 km) welcome walkers, sledges and sledge pushchairs: perfect with young children.
Snowshoes can be hired in the village and the Glisses Nordiques school offers guided outings, by day or at dusk. A snowshoe pass, sold at the welcome chalet, helps maintain the waymarking.
- Loop of the lakes of Les Mortes and Bellefontaine on snowshoes: flat, about two hours.
- Roche Champion (1,327 m) and Roche Bernard: viewpoints over Switzerland through the Risoux, half a day.
- Combe des Cives: dog-sledding outings and the Maison Michaud eco-museum.
- Bring poles, gaiters and a head torch: night falls early in the forest.
